Carrots add more than just a satisfying crunch and familiar flavor. You'll also get a huge burst of color when you add them to your salad! Choose a bag of “baby” carrots – they're already peeled, bite sized, and ready to eat!

Experiment with preparing your carrots. If using whole carrots, peel them with a vegetable peeler, then cut them horizontally into coins, into large sticks, or even shred them for less crunch. Carrots are also a healthy snack all on their own. Marinate them in salt and vinegar, dip in creamy dressing, or just crunch them plain!
